possible.The Automation Engineer is responsible for the concept
development, equipment design, and validation (transfer to
production) of automated and semi-automated equipment. You will
evaluate current capabilities, available technology in the
industry, and product requirements to develop new and improve
current methods and processes, drive equipment design in a
large-scale environment.This position is part of the Automation
Development Department and will be located in Lodi, California. At

connected diagnostic solutions.In this role, you will have the
opportunity to:
- Design, test, and validate new automation equipment and/or
processes in collaboration with a diverse functional engineering
team.
- Generate and sustain Verification/Validation protocols (I/OQ,
PQ) and related technical documents to support the transfer of
processes into production.
- Partner with cross functional teams to evaluate design and
processes at concept phase and define manufacturing processes.
- Develop new and/or improved automation for parts and assemblies
through the application of theoretical and practical
engineering.
- Use 3D CAD modeling, statistical analysis, -and hands-on bench
or line testing to characterize attributes, process performance,
and assembly -characteristics.The essential requirements of the job
include:
- BS in Mechanical, Biomedical Devices, Plastics Engineering (or
a related field) with 2+ years of experience within medical device
or a regulated industry OR MS in Mechanical, Biomedical Devices,
Plastics Engineering (or a related field) with 0-2 years of
experience within medical device or a regulated industry
- Working knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA rules and regulatory
requirements
- Strong mechanical design background in automation
- Proficient in 3D CAD design (Solidworks)
- Experience qualifying automation equipmentIt would be a plus if
you also possess previous experience in:
- Prior experience in biomedical device assembly mechanical
design
- Prior experience with ultrasonic welding plastics

salary range for this role is $75,000 - $110,000. This is the range
that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation
for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay
more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in
the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We
offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off,
medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible
