operations! Position Summary We are seeking Radiation Therapists
(RTT) to work alongside our dedicated team of health care providers
located in our San Francisco East Bay Area Clinics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, efficient, and reproducible radiation therapy
treatments as indicated by the prescription
- Apply proper use of a linear accelerator, Cybercide, use of
beam monitoring equipment, TLDs, appropriate treatment devices, and
correct chart and port film documentation
- Review diagnosis, patient chart, and identification
- Complete all quality checklists (QCLs) in a timely fashion
- Perform accurate and efficient radiation therapy treatment
simulations
- Proper use of a simulator, fabrication of various treatment
devices, including custom blocks and basic dosimetry
- Perform photographing and tattooing of patients as
required4
- Recognize and report malfunctioning equipment per SOPs
- Work effectively with physicians and other staff, recognizing
the importance of cooperation and contribution to a team
effort
- Communicate effectively with patients from diverse social and
cultural backgrounds, making them feel comfortable while helping to
ensure a high level of patient satisfaction
- Lift, move, and transfer patients (excluding non-ambulatory
patients who require special arrangements)
- Perform patient imaging as ordered to analyze and accurately
reproduce patient positioning
- Learn and adapt to the use of various models of radiation
therapy machines Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Radiation Therapy -
Required
- CA Radiation Therapy License - Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certified -
Required
- BLS/CPR - Preferred
- Ability to travel to practice sites when needed
- Will actively learn more than one machine
