• Employment Type: TravelA great School is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA to join their growing team for a contract assignment!The Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA will aid in the provision of rehabilitative services for people suffering from physical, emotional, mental or developmental impairments.Requirements include:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in occupational therapy or a closely related field of study.
  • Licensed currently, or in the process of obtaining a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) credential.
  • A valid CA state drivers license.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism related disabilities and emotional disturbance.
  • Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in applied behavior analysis (ABA) preferred.
  • Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals and next steps.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
