qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Antioch, California, 94509! Pay
Information $2,660 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Float
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3

NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Travel experience
Description: The Critical Care Registered Nurse holds
accountability for providing care to Intensive Care patients.
Utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse
Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. Demonstrates
critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in
the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. Maintains
clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates
patient care priorities based on the education and experience of
the available staff. Provides direction and supervision of assigned
personnel delivering patient care. Will float to telemetry units
depending on need and census of the unit. Every other weekend
coverage is required. On-call as needed based on census.
Familiarity with managing BiPAP, blood product administration, care
of ventilated patients, and central line care/management is
preferred. Experience with infection prevention, interpretation of
arterial blood gases, and management of dysrhythmias is necessary.
Skilled in obtaining 12 lead EKG, PICC line management, and
pre/post cardiac cath interventions is preferred. Able to manage
surgical wounds with drains and wound vacs. Titration of cardiac
and vasoactive drips, as well as ventilator management, is
required. Patient age group is adults. Daily census is
approximately 8 patients, with a patient ratio of 2.
