13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum
2 years of telemetry experience required License: Active RN License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, EKG Interpretation Must-Have: Experience
in monitoring and caring for acutely ill adult and geriatric
patients Description: Telemetry Registered Nurse needed for a Post
Surgical Unit. The Telemetry RN delivers and coordinates care for
acutely ill adult and geriatric patients who require cardiac
monitoring. Physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and
self-care needs of patients and their families must be addressed.
The RN utilizes understanding of physiology and pathophysiology,
nursing process, technology, and interpersonal communications to
achieve these goals. Candidates must be experienced in
administering IV cardiac medications, heparin, and insulin drips.
If not needed on the stationed unit, the RN may float to other
telemetry or med-surg units as hospital needs arise. Every other
weekend coverage is required. On-call duties may be assigned as
