Job Description:
Job Description A successful practice run by an experienced
interventional physiatrist is in need of a new physician to help
expand the practice and ultimately take it over to make it your
own! The ideal candidate will be a true partner willing to work
hard, learn the business and the market and then acquire it. This
is a terrific opportunity to take over an already successful
practice and your effort will give you the quality of life that you
desire. This practice consists of Spine, Musculoskeletal Medicine,
and EMG. A large portion of the clinic’s encounters are Workers
Compensation visits, and so the new physician must be ready to be
flexible and want to learn this well-reimbursing subspecialty, both
on the clinical and the business side. A great clinician is a must,
but the ability to connect with case managers, lawyers, and
business media will be very important to the continued success of
the practice – the road map to this is already laid. Your sustained
effort is needed to maintain the relationships in this competitive
market. You have to be able to present and speak on the practice
protocols explaining how your approach better serves the patient
and gets them healthy and back to work faster – saving money on
Workers Compensation claims! Other payers include equal parts PPO
and Medicare, with interventional procedures derived from
orthopedic colleagues in the community, so experience with Fluoro,
Ultrasound, PRP injections, and peripheral joint injections is
needed (ASC is 1 mile away). There is also a satellite clinic in
Modesto which can easily expand to a full time practice and help
generate referrals to the interventional physiatrist. There are
ancillary programs within the clinic: medication dispensing
(lidocaine cream, Celebrex, etc., no narcotics dispensed but a
small percentage receive prescriptions), drug testing and QME The
practice is busy with a great staff, low overhead, and good
location. The ideal physician would be one who is interested in
owning the practice and continuing the care for the patient thereby
earning a great work/life balance! This mid-size East Bay city is a
wonderful place to live and work. It is a family-oriented community
surrounded by other similar communities. Crime and poverty is very
low, making this a perfect place to raise a family – after all, it
has won the prestigious “Friendliest Community in America” award
for back to back years! The central location in the bay area is
ideal as you’re an equally short drive away from San Francisco, San
Jose, Berkeley, Napa or anywhere else in the area you wish to
go.
