Come join us and help shape the future!We are seeking a Senior OFFICE ENGINEER to join our Construction Services Group in our Antioch, Californaia office. Actual reporting site will be throughout the SF Bay Area depending on client needs.The Senior Office Engineer will assist the Resident Engineer in all aspects of required office construction engineering work, e.g. setting up and maintaining project files and processing required documents and progress payments as necessary.Job Duties:Act as Interim Resident Engineer in absence of Resident EngineerReview and analyize Contractor schedulePrepare independent schedule to monitor contractor's progressDirect and manage a team of construction inspectors and engineersInteract with construction contractors in performance of Quality Assurance inspectionsReview/Approval of techinical engineering submittals for compliance with plans / specifications Perform Engineering calculationsReview Engineering calcualtions Review Notice of Potential Claims (NOPC) and provide recommendations, review contractors Contract Change Orders (CCO's) requests, and negotiate CCO's and make recommendations to the REPrepare / estimate contract change orders for the plans / specifications Respond to contractors requests for clarifications of the plans / specificationsPeriodic review of field work to verify compliance with plans / specificationsPrepare marked up as-built drawings for contract compliance Review and update schedules and record drawingsConduct weekly meetings with Contractor, and others as requested by RE.Review and approve contractor pay estimatesReview certified payrollPerform other duties assignedTasks performed are of moderate complexity using professional engineering judgement.Talent is the essence of meeting our clients objectives, goals and challenges. A minimum of 7 years of Office Engineering experience, including projects involving Bridges and/or RailValid California Driver's licenseExperience with Office Engineering duties on large construction projectsExperience with Labor Compliance and verification of Certified PayrollsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesMust successfully complete and pass WSPs Motor Vehicle screeningPreferred QualificationsTransit/Rail Office Engineering experience About WSP USAWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
