DUOM is a stealth startup that will change the way fans interact with their favorite celebrities. DUOM will be launching a private beta in late Spring, and is a well-funded (by lead VCs / entertainment investors) stealth startup incubated by a Unicorn founder. Joining DUOM will allow you to join the ground floor of a high growth startup at the center of entertainment and pop culture. Were going to be launching our platform in the next 6 months with 3-5 of the 20 most famous celebrities on the internet. The Content Strategy Lead will play an integral role in helping to shape and realize the vision for artist generated media and UGC on the DUOM platform. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for studying niche communities on social media, especially those oriented around music, fashion and pop culture. They will immerse themselves across a range of these communities through social monitoring and quantitative social & first-party data in an effort to both scope and define the content offerings on our platform. This is an exciting, highly cross-functional role that will require close collaboration with our Product, Strategy & Ops, Talent Management and Growth teams. Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and accountability for the creation and promotion of new media formats on our platform such as long-form audio and video, artist Q&A, trivia and other interactive content/games.
  • Providing recommendations around the organization and curation of content on our platform including the structure and format of our media feeds
  • Partnering with Strategy and Operations and Growth to develop the KPIs and reporting structure for our team of content creators
  • Oversee the production of long-form video and audio assets
  • Develop guidelines around best practices to foster community engagement across all of the DUOM channels
  • Own the final recommendations provided to our talent team around specific content-related requests for our artist partners
  • Day-to-day collaboration with content creators, talent managers, insights analysts, UX designers, and product owners You might be a fit if:
    • You have 6-8+ years of experience driving content strategy at an agency, publisher, or in-house content production for a brand.
    • You've previously owned social strategy from conception to launch
    • You have experience with social analytics platforms such as Brandwatch, Tubular Labs or Hootsuite
    • You are both highly creative and data-driven, iterating on content production based on performance and qualitative community feedback
    • You have a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners
    • You are obsessed with all things pop culture and social media (major bonus if you are an active "stan" of a particular celebrity) Nice to have (or excited to learn):
      • Experience driving content that doesn't just generate views and clicks but also lower-funnel engagement such as downloads and purchases
      • Experience at a subscription platform (such as a streaming service or paywalled publisher)
      • Experience working with community management teams You should include these in your application:
