An established agricultural business who is searching for a
Regional Account Manager calling on Vineyards and Almonds
producers.Responsibilities:- Business Planning - Developing and
executing the sales plan for Companys vineyards & almond orchards
software solution, including direct sales and the most relevant
distribution channels.
- Vineyards, Winemakers, large almond growers direct sales
Developing a portfolio of large size customers through a sales
prospection plan and retaining them by meeting their needs and
enabling them to exceed revenue expectations with our
solutions.
- Ag Distributor and Retail Sales Management - Developing the
necessary relationships and business influence with distributors
and retail accounts to accelerate the sales of Companys solutions
and achieve scale.
- Market Expansion Providing insights on market opportunities to
expand Companys software solutions and co-develop new services
(such as vineyards and almond sustainability tools and climate risk
services) to differentiate from competitors.
INTERACT WITH:- Internally US Sales Team, Marketing &
Communications, Product Development
- Externally Large growers, wineries, Agricultural Retailers and
personnel, Key Growers throughout sales territory, and regional
Agricultural distributors
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that Companys sales objectives on its vineyard & almond
solutions are achieved in the US California region.
- Works to expand Companys market position, sales and relationships
with existing and new growers, wineries and distribution accounts
within the region.
- Develops and executes sales strategies and business plans which
support the joint business needs of our customers and Company.
- Establishes productive and professional relationships with key
personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Uses creativity, market knowledge and business knowledge to
provide innovative ideas for business growth.
- Works closely with the Sales team and Marketing team to support
the voice of the customer.
- Works closely with all departments in Company in supporting our
overall culture and business growth.
Qualifications:
- Excellent understanding of the Californian agricultural
marketplace, vineyards in the region, and possible distribution
models.
- Bachelor degree or higher, but sales experience and a proven
business network is definitely more important.
- Proven track record of sales in this industry.
- Experience with managing and calling on key growers, ag
distributors and ag retailers, establishing deep and meaningful
relationships with this customer base.
- Technical sales experience is a plus, especially on launching new
products in agriculture
- Sound agronomic understanding of irrigation, fertilization, and
pest protection.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
