• Job Details
• This position will work days, evenings and/or nights and weekends.
• The Sonographer coordinates and performs a wide variety of quality diagnostic studies in the specialty of Ultrasound and may assist in performance of procedures.
• The Sonographer ensures accurate documentation, effective communications and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients.
• Responsible for accurate charge capture.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Accepts flexibility in duty assignments and schedules. Adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Job Requirements
  • The Sonographer must possess and demonstrate knowledge of the following: anatomy/physiology, sonographic physics and instrumentation, relevant infection control practices, safe patient transfer and positioning techniques, and ethical and professional conduct.
  • Population served includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.
  • Responsible for the operation of a variety of equipment used to demonstrate and document the anatomy.
