since 1965 through high quality, comprehensive child development,
and family support services. Head Start supports school readiness

growth and development. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a full-time
Recruitment Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include
coordinating and conducting outreach activities at community events
and locales that serve target population; interfacing regularly
with community partners to facilitate referrals; and supporting
families with the application and enrollment process (may include
delivery or pick up of documents from family homes). This position
supports staff and parents to engage in recruitment (of children &
pregnant women) efforts by creating buy-in, conducting trainings,
preparing materials, and maintaining a calendar of recruitment
opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong
initiative, creativity and teamwork. This position will work some
evenings and weekends as needed. Positive attitude and flexibility
are essential in this position. Travel throughout Santa Cruz County
on a regular basis and a dependable vehicle will be required.
Position is regular, Non-Exempt, full-time, 40 hours per week. This
is an in-person position. Salary is dependent on education and
experience ($24.00 - $26.00 per hour). Pay differential for
bilingual skills awarded upon qualifications MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: AA/AS in Human Services, Communications or a
related field to services offered by program is required, BA
preferred Bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish is required
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Exemplary
customer service skills, including dealing effectively with
parents, staff and management, both in person and over the
telephone Strong computer literacy and media platforms skills
Ability to work independently and within a team successfully Strong
organizational skills Flexible schedule that includes evenings and
weekends. Proof of citizenship or right to work in the United
States. Must be able to pass and maintain background check Criminal
Record, Physical examination, TB clearance and MMR, Tdap,
Influenza, (vaccine) before hire. Must have a valid Driver’s
License, your own vehicle, valid vehicle insurance and good driving
record. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job duties will be performed at
program locations and at different community locations indoors or
outdoors. The physical requirements below are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential duties of this job. Frequently standing (for long
periods) Frequent ability to lift or exert a force of up to 20 lbs.
Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, climbing,
and balancing Occasional ability to lift or exert a force of more
than 40 lbs. Frequent, moderate exposure to high/low temperatures,
dirt dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises Frequent
repetitive use of computer keyboard, mouse, and extended time
